Trying to setup 2 x 500MB M.2 NVME SSD raid 0 from an old motherboard to a new motherboard & cpu

I am new to this forum but have been using an ASUS ROG Apex Maximus X with  i7-8700K CPU LGA 1151 for about 5 years and just decided to upgrade to an ASUS Prime Z790M Plus with an i7-13700K CPU LGA 1700. This is being used as a work computer in an industrial designer environment.

In the APEX I had 2 x 500MB M.2 NVME SSD's set as raid 0 from the BIOS.  Is it possible to boot from these drives on the new setup or will I need to format the SSD's?  I will have all the data from the 2 drives backed up individually via an M.2 Reader to my laptop.

Also does it make a difference in the order the SSD's are installed on the new motherboard?

I have the new setup loading BIOS but that is as far as it goes.

TYIA for any help.
