Hello!

Wanted to change thermal pads on my MOBO -

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 - instruction manual says 1,25 mm but there NO 1,25 mm pads from Gelid or Thermal Grizzly. Do not want to buy No Name from amazon. Asus support in Sweden IS THE WORST. COULD NOT ANSWER THIS SIMPLE QUESTION. I HAVEro e-mail for answer. AND I HAVE to give them my underwear size too. Can't justask a simple question with the MOBO name. Never Asus again. Horrible

This video helped me when I was replacing thermal pads on my Asus GPU.

I bought Gelid 1mm for memory, though native pads seems to be a little bit thicker, it didn't really matter.

Try to google if someone is offering a guide for thermal pads replacement on your motherboard, or evens sells a ready to apply set of pads.

Thermal pads are compressible but I read somewhere you don't want them to be compressed too much. Their effectiveness is lower then and they can leak more oil.

Here is a video that helped me a lot to chose thermal pads.

Hello!

Thanks for the reply. I'll watch it but I don't want to squeeze the pad. I know how to change but the right thickness is the problem.

So your GPU works fine with 1 mm pads then?

Thanks for the reply
