You know what that does not surprise me one bit, Remember when Asus removed the VRM temp monitoring from the last few gens? it is because people are noticing high chipset temps with Z690 on Asus boards mine included, I have undervolted both my chipset voltages on this board to the minimum they can go and it is still stable but guess what it's sitting here at 64c at idle! it isn't doing anything, If I start gaming it goes in the 70''s.
I am still not sure about other board vendors but in my opinion Asus had cheaped out on the thermal side of these chipsets, They are just getting too hot, What is the point in trying to cool your 12th gen as much as possible and the chipset is hotter, Ridiculous.
