hello guys , i am noob 😄 and sorry for my bad english
here is my setup :
13700K / Z790 TUF Pro / 6000Mhz DDR5
i updated my bios to latest version (1663) .
in intel default profile my hw info (50 ms refresh for sensors just for catching voltage peaks)
vcore max = 1.368
Vid max = 1.455
so i decided to change these settings:
*SVID behavior = Intel's fail safe =>Typical scenario
*IA VR Voltage limite = 1400
after that i run cinebench and it shows about 50% performance lose
someone told me to disable CEP so i disable it.
*IA CEP ==> Disable
now this is my hw info :
Multi core value
Single Core
sorry for bad image :
Vid Max : 1.335
note = polling period is set to 50ms so performance drop is for running hw info
without running hw info in background scores are good for me.
so i need help
does it safe or .... ?
disabling CEP is safe?
what is safer settings ? what u recommend for me?
how can i prevent my p cores to boosting 5400 mhz? two of my pcores boosting 5.4 and other 5.3. how can i set this p cores to boost 5.3?

Hi @shadmehr79
Nobody can define "safe" for you. However, if the Vcore doesn't exceed 1.55v then you can consider this to be ok by Intel's definition.
Use the Specify Core function under Extreme Tweaker to specify each core's maximum ratio.

Hello dude,
thanks for the answer.
can u help me to lower my ram speed to 5600Mhz ? how can i safely doing this within XMP profile ?

Do I need undervolting?

I found the same behaviour when setting SVID Behaviour to anything other than Intel Fail Safe so you have to disable CEP to recover the performance under load. Note CEP was disabled by default in older BIOSs but is now enabled by default which is why people are now seeing the reduced performance without disabling CEP. I have an i7-13700K on an Asus Z790 board. I'm currently using these settings which gives a Cinebech 23 score of 29171 (93.9% of max score for CPU), VCore 1.261V and power draw of 210W. The setting does throttle at the thermal limit of 80C I set but I'm being cautious since I use an air cooler (Noctua NH-D14):
Max CPU temperature = 80 C
Long term power limit = 253 W (Intel Performance spec)
Short term power limit = 253 W (Intel Performance spec)
Asus Multicore Environment = Disabled enforce all limits (Auto gave higher VCore)
SVID behaviour = Typical
IA CEP = Disabled
CPU Core / Cache Max Current = 307A (default)
IA VR Voltage Limit = 1400 mV
Global Core SVID CPU Voltage Offset = -0.075 V (adaptive)
Intel Dynamic Tuning = Disable (setting only works for 14th gen)
Intel GNA = Enable
XMP memory = XMP1
Aura LED = Off
Fast Boot = Disabled
OS Type = Windows UEFI Mode
Post Delay Time = 4s
Armoury Crate = Disabled
Resize Bar = Disabled (not supported by my RTX 2060 Super GPU)
Settings to Reduce Coil Whine
Enhanced C State = Disabled (default)
Acoustic Mitigation = Enabled
Disable Fast PKG C State ramp for IA domain = TRUE
Slow slew rate for IA domain = Fast/4
Disable Fast PKG C Sate Ramp for GT Domain = TRUE
Slow Slew Rate for GT Domain = Fast/4
