I have a dark Hero board with a Sabrent m.2 in slot 1 that should produce a speed of close to 14,000 MB/s, however i only achieve 7,800 or so. I have reviewed the posts and others have had a similar issue, however there is no resolution that i can find. I have what i believe to be the proper settings in BIOS. I seem to be getting only Gen 4 rather than Gen 5 speed. Can you help.

Hello VK101
Check in the bios, Advanced tab, System Agent Configuration, PCI Express Configuration, that you have Gen 5 selected for the M.2_1 Link Speed.
Mine shows only Gen 4 because I'm using a Gen 4 SSD.

Do you have the Sabrent 5 installed in the M.2_1 slot?
It would be this slot in the picture.

Strange your drive is showing not present in the M.2_1 slot.
Have you installed the chipset driver for your motherboard?
Does Device Manager show any missing drivers or abnormalities with your Sabrent 5?
In CrystalDiskMark under settings, have you selected NVME Mode?
