Hi, i have two G.skill trident Z 6800 Mhz 16x2 kit, set in A2, B2 slots and it works perfectly. I bought one more same kit and put them in last two slots(A1, B1) and then starts strange things, pc always reboot if XMP was enable(any overlock), if i disable XMP the frequency set to 4800 Mhz it works fine, but i bought those RAMs for those speed))) I am on lates BIOS, ME, etc. win 11 with i9-13900kf, thor 1000 w p2. Now i set XMP on frequency 6400 MHz, but i can't reach speed 6800 when 2 sticks used. Can someone help or explain...

Take out the second kit. Very unlikely for 2 kits to be stable. There is a link to a thread on this somewhere, but I can’t post it because I can’t find it anymore with the forum change.

So, what kind of motherboard need than?? I mean change it to z790 HERO or take AORUS 790?

I was lucky to be able to get 4 sticks (2 sets of 2 Trident Z5 RGB, DDR5-6600 CL34-40-40-105 1.40V 32GB) for a total of 64GB to work successfully and stably using XMP after the initial build had not allowed me more than 2 sticks. Once all BIOS, Windows, Chipset updates were done, I happened to throw in the second set  in a last attempt and was pleasantly surprised that it initialized the memory and all software and gaming worked perfectly thereafter.

If you want that much memory, you need to purchase a kit that has more than 32G. GSkill has new kits that might work for your board but you should check the QVL to make sure.

I just checked the QVL for your board. F5-6800J3445G32GX2-TZ5RS GSkill would work if you have a 13th gen CPU. Looks like you do with the 13900kf. That's a 64G kit. Might work for you. May need some tweaking maybe. Difficult to know.

Were you able to get yours back all RAMs and get your money back?

Hello AlexPaska

1) Never combine memory kits, always purchase a single kit of the speed and capacity you want.

2) Two sticks work way better than four on z690/z790.

3) Manually tuning your memory can give better results.
