ROG STRIX Z790-E (not WiFi II) and 14th Gen?

I've just purchased the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E (not WiFi II) in the possibly mistaken belief that it is OK to take an Intel i7-14700K CPU.  The BIOS on this board is 1501 (dated 26 Oct 23) and I note that 1402 (dated 6 Oct 23) introduced the necessary code to allow the board to accept 14th gen CPUs.  I note that on the box it does say  '14th gen CPU Ready'  but 14th gen is not mentioned in the handbook.

Am I going to be able to put in the 14700K straight into the board wit the 1501 BIOS?

You can make offline BIOS update (via the USB port on the back and button), but I think is is more risky, you don't really see what is happening.

If you install CPU and update BIOS the same day, nothing bad will happen to CPU.

Vmin Shift issue is caused over prolonged time, and requires a combination of high voltage (over 1.5V) and high CPU temps.

I would use Asus EZ Flash 3 tool in BIOS.

Hello everyone, I have a Strix 790-E Wifi II motherboard and since I installed both the 1503 and 1602 bios it takes a long time to perform the POST and before with the 1402 it was much faster can you advise me on the bios settings that make POST faster? A thousand thanks.
