ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II XMP Problem

Hello everyone i have built a new computer but i am failing to activate XMP.

 

Specs:

Mobo : ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II

Cpu : Intel® Core™ i7 processor 14700KF 33M Cache, up to 5.60 GHz

Ram :  F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK  G-Skill  Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400 CL32-39-39-102 1.40V 64GB (2x32GB) Intel XMP

Memory : 2x 990 PRO PCIe® 4.0 NVMe® SSD 2TB

Graphics Card : ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 4070 SUPER 12GB GDDR6X OC Edition

Case :  ROG Hyperion GR701

Power Supply :  TUF Gaming 850W Gold

Cooler : TUF Gaming LC II 360 ARGB

Operating System: Winows 11 Pro

 

Bios Version: 1102.

 

Rams are in A2 an B2 

 

So my problem is the computer starts up normally without XMP on and checking ram speed shows 4000MHz

When i turn on XMP the computer doesnt start. i have tried XMP 1 - XMP 2 - XMP Tweaked but nothing has worked for me.

 

Can anyone help me please ? Thanks in advance

Okay so i have solved the problem.

 

Ram's were installed in A1 and B1. changed to A2 and B2 and activated XMP. now Ram's are working at 6400

when in bios check to see if both of your ram sticks are detected in the slots.

if they are, while in bios do a memtest86 you can hit at the top right of your bios screen.

if you have errors then maybe a ram stick or 2 is bad.

do this and let us know.
