I bought ROG Strix Z790_e Gaming WiFI II today
I put in 2 x patriot viper xtreme 5 8000 mhz cl38
(i9 14900K and MSI RTX 3090Ti Suprem X) but the board does not see RAM at all. Code 55 and yellow LED flash
Bank 2/4 of course. I tried giving only 1 ram but it doesn't help. I put RAM from another FURY 6000mhz computer but it doesn't see it either. Help!

First, I'd try a complete power off at the PSU and a CMOS reset as well.

If that doesn't help, then it might be that you have an old BIOS installed on the board. Update that and hopefully it will work OK, as your current BIOS might not properly support 14th Gen.

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4001, MEI 2433.6.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.35.2557, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

😞  Unfortunately. I loaded the new BIOS but the board still shows 55, a yellow LED and nothing on the monitor.

I have same MOBO, using GSkill 32x2GB CL30 6000Mhz RAM and there is no problem. Works stable at 6000Mhz also.

I fixed it, but what I'm writing now is unbelievable, but I found this idea on the Internet on a Polish forum. You probably won't believe it because I didn't believe it either, but it worked!

Note: I unscrewed the cooler from the CPU and unscrewed the backplate from the bottom of the board. And the album took off! It works, but now I'm thinking how to attach the cooling? now the pump is attached to the processor only with thermal paste

LoL, it seems kinda weird solution, try to attach backplate back and see if it's gonna work or not.

CPU mounting issues causing DIMM detection problems is very common, so not strange at all. Ensure to adhere to the cooling vendors instructions and torque settings.

How do we turn Watchdog on? Why this is happening for like high-end CPU and MOBO?

Why is what happening? Have you solved your cooler mounting problem? So far it seems you need to resolve this before we consider anything else such as overclocking.
