since beta bios 1703 my 7600 xmp 1 ram has not thrown any errors and has been completely stable. i dont know if there was any performance hit with the patch logofail vulnerabilites but since i have reached new records in cinebench r23 : https://imgur.com/a/FlmjgWT

Could I please ask ,How did you mange to get 7600 on xmp 1,the max i can get is 7200 even though I have 8000 corsair dominator ram that according to the corsair website is compatible with the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 EXTREME which I have, if I try to boot with 7600 everything freezes, and if I play a game the whole thing freezes almost straight away, any help how you managed it would be great, I'm using 48gb (2x24)on 2 sticks, so only the 2 slots are used

idk where your looking up what is compatible with your motherboard but the QVL list on your motherboards website shows 7800 as the highest speed that it could run. there would have to be some major tweaking to get 8000 stable. for me, just updating to the latest asus bios is what fixed it for me. but if thats not the case with you than either your ram sticks are bad or your cpu memory controller cant handle those speeds.

After the 1801 BIOS update, I put back the 1402.
Besides, I just got the motherboard and I didn't know where the error was.
