Hello there

i just finished my build (specs below) and I tried to boot it up for the first time. All I got is a blank screen (both from the gpu and integrated graphics) with me not being able to access the bios.

the Q code goes through the boot sequence and then settles on 33 and won’t post

ASUS rog strix z790-E

64gb Corsair vengeance pro RGB 5600

corsair mp600 2tb

PALIT GAMING PRO RTX3090

Code 33 relates to memory (at least on my board it does). Have you reset BIOS to defaults?

You could also try a single stick in slot 2 or or if you have have a BIOS flashback port, you could try a BIOS update as well. Hope one of those ideas gets things working, at least for starters.

Your board could also have been supplied with an old BIOS which doesn't support 14th Gen. There will be a white sticker on the motherboard and the last 4 digits should show the BIOS version as supplied. My money is on an older BIOS version.

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 4301, MEI 2512.7.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.35.2557, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately it’s not memory related. I had my money on it to because it won’t boot into the bios just a blank screen. I’ll have a look at the bios revision.
