Hi everyone, I recently bought a ROG Strix Z690-G Gaming WIFI with I7-12700k and DDR5 5200Mhz RAM.
But I am having various problems:
The L1 and L2 caches of the CPU are displayed incorrectly, in the Task Manager the L1 is 960kb (instead of 1MB) while the L2 is 11.2Mb (instead of 12MB). CPU-Z instead displays them even more incorrectly
https://imgbb.com/kc22fvKStrangely there are various combinations of BIOS settings that correct these numbers and are:
- Disable Virtualization
or
- Activate Rapid Storage (Activating this however causes problems for Samsung Magician)
In the AIDA64 cache benchmark there are big performance differences based on how I set those settings.
How is this possible? Defective CPU? Defective motherboard? BIOS bug?
The second problem, even more annoying, is the constant stutter when I open any video, mainly when starting the video or when zapping in the middle.
I have found the problem with every player used (MPC-BE, MPC-HC, VLC and also with the default of Win11)
The problem occurs regardless of whether you are using a bluetooth headset or the ALC4080 plus audio speakers.
However, it does not happen if there is Chrome with youtube open in the background.
It does not happen if I use a PCIe Sound Card.
The problem occurs independently of the cache problem.
What can it be? Defective motherboard? BIOS bug? The problem certainly seems to derive from USB.
Any help is welcome, I have been banging my head for 2 weeks without resolving.
