Hello,
When I upgraded the bios of my motherboard, I encountered problems when I'm launching a game (Battlefield V, I didn't test another game). Very long to launch, crashing... With a downgrade to 4101 version, no problems anymore. Are there known bugs on this BIOS version please ?
Thanks,
Regards

I mentioned this weeks ago, Ghost Recon Wildlands also takes forever to launch, Flashing back to older Bios's resolved this for me also.
No word and no fix since then.

Newer microcode and ME. Have you tested memory stability (and if so, how)?
At this stage in the product's life cycle, I'd recommend sticking to what works for your sample (especially if using XMP).

I test my RAM with Memtest86 Pro DOS USB Stick version with 3 passes and also TestMem5 for 3 hours.
It's not the RAM.
I believe it's something to do with some software titles and the E cores on 13th Gen and above, Some weird way the DRM in some games read's your CPU's capability before proceeding to launch some games.
Something has changed with these newer Bios's the way E cores are read at the OS Level for some weird reason.
Some will blame the game title and it is possible but the fact by flashing back to older Bios's resolves the issue means something has changed with the CPU's capability or readability with some software that is not present in older Bios's.
I have attached a couple of screenshots of other users with exactly the same issue, Not present on older systems but as soon as you try running these problematic titles on newer hardware ie 13th Gen and above I9's it's like watching paint dry launching some games.
It's not to say this is Asus's fault it could very well be Intel's fault the way E cores are read, Remember the reason the the CPU Compatibility mode was introduced in the Bios's for these CPU's because of the Stupid E cores and some software titles dropping performance and some games dumping priority on the E Cores instead of the P cores?
That doesn't work by the way I have already tried that with these titles.
It's another reason I won't be purchasing anything from Intel again should they continue to use these stupid E cores and Hybrid architecture.

Memtest86 won't tell you everything. In fact, unless the OC is very unstable or one or more of the DIMMs has a fault, it won't tell you much at all. Again, though, I would recommend using a build that works best for your system currently.

I know which is why I use multiple programs to check my RAM, Memtest86 Pro if it passes at least 2 passes is already a good indication of stability but I still also use Testmem5 and also the paid version of Karhu Ram test, All 3 pass with no issue.
I know different bios versions can affect RAM stability however in this case it is not my RAM that is the issue.
I don't know why some games take forever to launch with these newer bios's other than a mixture of the Bios updates and Windows updates have cause more work to be shifted over to the E cores and it is 100% this which is causing the slow launch of some titles.
I won't be going anywhere near a Hybrid CPU again, It's a headache with some software.

My RAM (4 sticks totaling 128 GB) was rated as 5600MT/s. Have booting and stability issues with BIOS 4301. Need to slow down to 5333MT/s for stability. Now all is okay. Try turning of XMP and increase the RAM speed gradually.
