On the bios webpage for the Rog Strix Z690-A D4 board there appears to be a new bios update 0901. On the webpage as of right now there seems to not be any information provided about what's new in this update.

z390 was most likely t topology and does better with 4 sticks. Daisy does better with 2 sticks and you usually loose a couple mhz or more when not following MB topology. z690 Strix I can run 4266-4133 with 2x8 or 2x16 b die but 4 stick i drop to 3733 it looks like.

If ADL is like RKL setting dr to 1 can cause issues. Try 4 or 7.

Here is 4000c15 sr b die

4x8 3733c14 these same stick ran 4266c16 to 4400c17 in z390 hero but i would take ADL any day. CPU performance 12900k vs 9900k not even worth comparing.

karhu running for 35 minutes when took screenshot. I dont plan on running 4x8 so i wont let this run much longer.

wow, looking great. You seem to have both a very good IMC and some very good b-die!
I would be absolutely ok with 3733 CL14 or 15, but I couldn't get it stable. Seems ok at first, then again doesn't train, etc. I'm fed up, sorry to say. btw, the Z390 boards from Asus also had daisy chained memory slots, if I'm not mistaken.

Which mb? MSI was daisy chain on z390. Asus was t topology. But it doesn't matter, if yours old mb works for you and z690 doesn't.

And pretty much every new generation has some issues the first couple months. I remember it with z390, z490, z590 etc.

So would this bios be considered an upgrade over the previous one ?

Is the bug where CPU Power Duty Control and Power Phase Control (and maybe increasing switching frequency) causes random reboots fixed? On Strix Z690-A D4 and TUF D4

Most likely not, also stumbled over this. For me it was not posting at all as soon as those were not set to Auto...

My Ethernet and USB issue is still the same with that Bios version
