my BIOS version: 1602 Beta (0x12B)

I've tried everything I could, and I'm feeling depressed. I've spent a lot of money just to reduce everything to the lowest point so I can use it normally. 😞

This issue has consumed a lot of my time, hours spent researching online, from Microsoft forums, Reddit, Asus forums, YouTube, and more. I just can't get my PC to run at optimum speed without crashing; I had to use the lowest settings and disable everything to use it.

My PC and component still brand new, no damage, everything installed with care since this is not my first time
I am tired following a lot of guides, I am thankful for all your effort, but it does not help my PC with best performance.

at the moment, I had to use my PC at the lowest setting, disable xmp and all.. this is suck 😢

I have a similar system and similar problem. I have even updated the bios to the 2602 and it got worse: i could not even get out of the Uefi bios utility until I disabled secure boot and turn on csm support in the bios utility. Although now I can boot up to windows, I don't know whether what I did will lead to more problems.

This incompatibility issue with the new intel chip set and ASUS motherboard is really unacceptable. Folks should stop buying or building a PC with this sort of configuration.

Hi! Have you tried assembling a PC by cleaning the CPU and RAM contacts with a KOH-I-NOOR red and blue eraser?

No. I don't think I would risk doing this myself neither.

Try it, highly recommended!

Hi @Lololawler what do you mean by

i could not even get out of the Uefi bios utility until I disabled secure boot and turn on csm support in the bios utility. Although now I can boot up to windows, I don't know whether what I did will lead to more problems.

What version of Windows do you have installed or were trying to install? Windows 11 24H2 will only install with Secure Boot Enabled unless you have used special options in RUFUS to disable this check during Windows installation.

Recent versions of Windows will also only install and work with GPT partitioned drives so if you upgraded you Windows machine or used a drive from you old machine into a new machine and did not format and did a clean Windows installation, this type of problem will happen as these older drives or older installation will have MBR partitions on them.

While it may seems like a BIOS issue, it is simply a Windows issue since it requires newer setup.

I hope this information helps you solve your problem at least. If you need any further help, let me know. Good luck!

I wasn't even trying to install windows. I had windows 11 installed already. My PC crashed very often while playing csgo and that was when I decided to upgrade the bios from my asus motherboard to the latest.

Hi @okezz I am sorry to hear about your troubles. You and I have the same board and same CPU. My complete build details can be found in https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-motherboards/can-asus-support-fix-realtek-audio-drivers-with-bo... post.

If you are interested in working on solving the issue, please post your full system detail in as much detail as you can. Also, provide details on how you installed Windows, specially the drivers, are you using Armoury Crate or not. How you are testing with software names and versions.

Only with these details someone here will be able to help since this is not a widespread issue that just happens with barebone system like I am not experiencing the issue you are having so it is possible you have done something that I am not doing. If we can together find this difference then your system state has a higher chance of improving.

I look forward to your response. Have a great day!

Hi @okezz first of all don't feel sorry for what you got or could get. Everyone has different needs and different budgets. What you got is much better than lot of other people. Next, thanks for sharing these details.

From your post title and last post above, it seems you are getting random crashes in Windows 11 but Windows 10 is working better compared to Windows 11.

Let us work our way slowly. I would request you to do the following first in order for us to have a proper baseline to work together.

  1. Disconnect the power cord going into your PSU so there is no power going into you PC.
  2. Now using any pen or pencil PRESS and HOLD the CLEAR CMOS button at the back of your PC with NO POWER CABLE connected for about 20 seconds. You can use your phone clock to run a timer to see that you held the button for 20 seconds. This will CLEAR your CMOS.
  3. Now connect the power cable back to your PC and turn it ON.
  4. When the PC will start, you will see a message that you must press F1 to go into BIOS and then press F5 to load the defaults.
  5. If you do not see this message then CLEAR CMOS process failed or did not work. Typically, this failure happens because you did not properly press and hold the clear cmos button. So go back to STEP 1 and try again.
  6. Assuming, you do see this message, press F1 to enter BIOS, once in BIOS, press F5 to load system defaults, next press F10 to SAVE and EXIT. This process will reset everything to Intel Default Profile with latest BIOS defaults. Your XMP will be disabled and that is okay for now.
  7. At this point, reboot to log into Windows 10.
  8. Now run some tests or play games or do whatever you normally do that causes any crashes. Test for few hours to couple of days without making any changes and report back.
  9. If the crash happens, then come back immediately. If no crash happens then definitely take a day or two to test and give a proper try at this setup.

Good luck!
