Hello!
I am running ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME GLACIAL with 4 nvme drives
Samsung 990 PRO / Samsing 980 PRO / WD Black SN850X / Seagate FireCuda 530
After update to 4301 latest bios and ME 16.1.38.2676 my Windows boot time was increased to like a 10 min, so I decide to reinstall Windows and this time I decide to NOT use VMD so I disable VMD controller in BIOS and install system, then install drivers include that one I found here in MoKiChU driver thread.
Then I was notice that 2 of my drives is not accessible - when I try to open it I can see root but cant enter further - "Location is not available - A device which does not exist was specified." error.
In diskpart it also not seeing.
But Windows disk manager can see them and device manager see all drives and no any errors with them.
They can be found in BIOS and pass all extended test without any issue.
I also tried to wipe them and create like new GPT
I also tried to use WinPE and have similar problems that drives was not accessible but can be seeing.
One drive is Samsung 980 PRO installed in M.2_1
Second is Samsung 990 PRO installed in DIMM.2_2
But most interesting that if I set GEN 1 in bios to all this devices include GPU in SA and PCH settings then all drives is worked fine.
And before reinstalling Windows with VMD turned ON this config was working, but started to boot like a 10 min.
I am now use 4 drives - M.2_1 + M.2_2 + Dimm.2_1 + Dimm.2_2
I was triend almost all:
CMOS reset
Wipe them and create like new
Downgrade bios few versions
Fast boot on / off
PCIE Native Power Managment on/off
PCIE ASPM on/off
Checked Windows 11 Storage Spaces
Secure boot on/off
CSM on/off

And also I was see in hwinfo that if I not disable PCIE Native Power Managment then I have a lot of whea pci errors.
Can someone advice what to do?
