Hello community, I have a small problem with my ROG MAXIMUS Z690 APEX. Bios 2802 is currently running without any problems on the computer. Now I wanted to flash the latest BIOS 3101. No sooner said than done, flashed the bios with EZflash from the 2802 bios. In my opinion the update went through smoothly. Nothing noticeable. Waited well for the computer to restart after the update and then the surprise...... monitor stays black... it lights up briefly "Displayport no signal" no post screen just blank...... no problem I thought .... via flashback first back to 2802 ---> everything is fine. Go into the bios and Windows 11 boots up cleanly..... next attempt flashback with the new bios 3101..... black again, no post screen .... no picture, no sound..... As I said, the updates all go through smoothly for me and the ClearCmos button on the board was used before and after the update.
Does anyone have an idea where the problem could be??

Does anyone have a beta bios above 3101 then I could test this....

i. Ensure to update the ME driver and use the ME Update Tool prior to updating the UEFI.
ii. Use the renamer to rename the 3101 cap file and place the file on a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive. Insert the drive into the designated USB port on the rear IO and press the USBFlashback button for 3 seconds and wait for the process to complete. (2-3 minutes until the blue indicator stops flashing).
iii. If still no success, check which Q-CODE is displayed and report here.

Thanks for your answer. Flashing works so far. The file is renamed correctly and obviously the flashing process runs smoothly and then the pc boots in a loop (see video) I flash back to 2802 via flasback after every attempt.

that is strange! i am using the 3101 since the day was out. and i have no issues at all. I will try the beta next week since is for special scenarios. maybe is the raid
check if you have a white led... on diagnostic... or there is something else.

as always. all bios HAS TO RUN as i mentioned above. always. the diference on flashback and update is that on flashback is the only file on the the usb. THAT is the way you should do for now. no update run the flashback
