Recommendation for Z790 board

Background: I have a spare delid 13900K, g.skill DDR5 7200, and also a spare Corsair RM1000 PSU.  I want replace my son's current machine.

He has birthday coming up.  My plan was to get him the 4080 Super.  However, his current machine is: Itx build.   AMD 5800X on Asus ITX motherbaord with SSUPD case.   Power Supply is Corsair SF750.

Since I have a spare 13900K and DDR5 Ram.  Nature choice is reuse those part.  Go with Intel.

1.  I can get a regular ATX motherboard and new case?

or

2. replace Motherboard with Asus Z790-I.

If going with Option 1, i see there is Strix Z790-E.  However, i see there is 2 version of Z790-E.  One is older version with Wifi -6E.  one is newer Wifi7.  There is about $100 Diff on it.  I cant really tell the diff beside Wifi.  But he will be on Physical LAN.  No need for Wifi.

With ITX, the heat is always a concern.  Plus worry about PSU with 750.   I see Gigabyte as a 4080 Super with min of 750W.  Which fit the bill and power requirement.   Although he is going to get delid 13900K, but the goal is not crazy overclock that.  But with nice balance and Heat management for delid cpu.

any suggestion?

I've been thrilled with my 690 Hero, virtually no issues in over 2 years and only one BSOD. It's been brilliant and totally reliable. I've seen more issues with the 790 Hero, but I have no experience with it. I would consider the Encore, but that's more than you need and very capable of overclocking, which is not what you need. If you fancy the 790-E, I'd say go for the WiFi 6E version, no need to pay for WiFi7 unless you are planning on a router upgrade. Still a fast connection (if ever needed)... have fun choosing.

Z690 Hero, 12900K, BIOS 3701, MEI 2407.6.1.0, ME Firmware 16.1.32.2473, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.
