i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

You may need to slightly adjust your voltage for xmp tweaked version or your memory may be getting to hot if you can boot but memory test are not stable.

Is there a change log for versions? I see Asus just posted the official 0703 bios on website with recommendation for updated ME. I’m stable on 0088 right now and was wondering what the changes were to 0801 that’s latest.

I did a that of course ...
Luckly have beable to test the RAM an CPU on a EVGA Z690 DARK Kingpin. So the combination CPU+RAM is beable to do 8200 stable.

Must be something with the Board or Bios.

7200 + 7400 Works well

7600 isn't possible atm to get it more than benchstable.

The problem with that, is just that you may do a reboot and next time you do this test you got that "1" error after 2 minutes.
What i'm trying to say is, right now it is just not consistent.

Maybe it is allready the limit of that extremly expensive 4DIMM OC motherboard, we will see what the future brings.

No love for the Z790 TUF-Plus D4 ? Last posted BIOS is from 29.09.22, and on top of that is corrupted, not functional !

No love for the PRIME Z790-A ?

is it possible to return to the 2103 afterwards? Motherboard: Z690 EXTREME

i will try this new bios asap
cause my z690i strix is really disappointing me
i am binning 10 sticks of A die Hynix and dicovered that slot A1 can run them 8000/8200, slot B1 no chance at all, max 7600. How this difference could be possible?
and if i use 2 sticks together, no chance to boot 7600
