i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

Asus has posted the new update and set a beta status for the first few days. When no more changes were necessary, the beta status was removed and the update was declared final. That's why it's the same file.

Intel have promised to help fix the issues relating to instability issues spanning from 13th and 14th gen CPUs, however checking out VDD_CPU, IMC, VID and Vcore Voltages with the latest microcode patch, referred to as 0x129 via a bios update... Shows that nothing has been fixed and infact you just

Asus x support said to me to wait for next week's official new bios update, they said it's gonna be a new one...

Which motherboard do you have exactly?

Intel Core i7 13700K / AiO Fractal Design Lumen S36 v2 RGB / Asus Rog Strix Z790-F Gaming WIFI / Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5-5600 64GB (4x 16GB) / Asus TUF RTX 4070 ti OC / 4x Samsung 980 pro 1TB / Seasonic Prime GX 850 W Gold / Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite RGB Black TG Light Tint / Monitor AOC Q27G2S/EU (WQHD)

ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming Wifi (1).

However, the current UEFI update has been final since August 14, 2024. It is version 2503.
I don't think there will be another update next week. If there had been problems with 2503 BETA, activating it as final would have been premature.

So why should there be another update next week?

Did Asus x support tell you anything about this?
When were you informed?

Intel Core i7 13700K / AiO Fractal Design Lumen S36 v2 RGB / Asus Rog Strix Z790-F Gaming WIFI / Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5-5600 64GB (4x 16GB) / Asus TUF RTX 4070 ti OC / 4x Samsung 980 pro 1TB / Seasonic Prime GX 850 W Gold / Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite RGB Black TG Light Tint / Monitor AOC Q27G2S/EU (WQHD)

"Hey there, we appreciate your patience and time as we review your case. In response to your inquiry, our team advises that BIOS 2503 is the latest BIOS with microcode 0x129. It will officially be released next week (formal BIOS). For additional details as per your region please use the link mentioned above to contact our support team within your region."
"So do you mean we can update now to 2503 since it is supposed to be the same, or should wait until next week which will be a newer bios version?"
"We recommend waiting until next week for the official release of the bios version."

Eh, imma wait🤚😕...

Yes, because it has been FINAL since August 14, 2024.
The answer from Asus X Support even includes version 2503, and this is exactly the version that was declared final THIS week.
The 2503 BETA and the 2503 FINAL are identical.
Since there were apparently no problems with this version, nothing newer was programmed and Asus simply removed the BETA marking on August 14, 2024, thus setting the final status.
This is a common procedure when no problems are reported.

There will be nothing new next week.

When did you get this answer from support?

It sounds like this answer came from support last week, because this week the update was publicly marked as final.

Hi, I am still confused, sorry, it was just yesterday...
