i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

After updating to Bios 0801, it seems I can turn my computer on and off normally using the on/off button on the PC case. With my configuration, I didn't use XMP but just manually adjusted my DDR5 Cosair to 5800, then I got a blue screen error with the error error code: Bad ..... something I don't remember exactly. Then I tried adjusting my DDR5 to BUS 5600 and I got into Windows 10 normally. Currently my system is fine, I will continue to use it and hope it is stable. I will report back when there is new information

i9-14900K

ASUS ROG Z790 DARK HERO

Ram Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB 2x Kit 64GB

(2x32GB) DDR5 6000MT/s CL30

( Total 128 gb ddr 5 )

Sound Blaster AE-9

Network Card TP Link TX401

Running four 32GB RAM sticks is asking for trouble. Be grateful if 5600 is stable...

Thank you very much bro for the valuable information. Z790 Dark Hero, 14900K is not okay with 4 x DDr5. So if 4x48 gb DDR5 (Max 192 gb DDR5) do you think it will be better?

The problem is running 4 sticks. If you REALLY need that much memory, then be prepared to run it at 5600 or even 4800 speed.

Do NOT use a BIOS for the old Z790 Hero on the newer Z790 Dark Hero. Go the the Asus website and download the correct BIOS there.

Thank you Bro! I just changed my ddr5 to 2 Kit x 96GB - Ram PC Corsair Dominator Titanium 96GB 6600MHz DDR5 (2x48GB) CMP96GX5M2B6600C32 ( Total : 192 GB ) In BIOS I kept: Ai Overclock Turner: AUTO DDRAM FREQUENCY : 5600 Currently my 192 Gb is running fine at Speed 5600. I tried XMP with speed 6000 but I can't start my computer. I understand that you guys advise me to run 2 sticks of DDR if I want great speed so I just wanted to announce this.

Back on 1703 and all is well. Rock solid. No errors on boot up so far and y-cruncher is working well at 7400.

I have a Z790 Dark Hero. As I see, its latest BIOS is 0801. Can I ask if the new test BIOS of Z790 HERO, 0805, can be used for Z790 Dark Hero?

Where did you get the 0805 bios? I've been trying to find it in this thread but can't. Thanks for the help!

You can find all new drivers or newer firmware from the Mokichu -  very famous on this forum. Link: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/hardware-build-advice/index-all-my-drivers-firmware-software-threads/m...

Be sure to download the correct driver for your system

I’m not sure if it’s me but I don’t see any bios at the link you sent
