i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

"XMP II"  the default XMP settings set by the memory manufacturer (that is where you want to start if troubleshooting). "XMP I" is with additional Asus "enhancements"

Yea. Started with XMP1 first, but still trying with XMP2. Thanks.

@Shamino @Silent_Scone

Offtopic but can either of you report to ASUS driver team to fix the Realtek audio Mic gain option?

New Encore and I cannot play with my buddies because my mic is too quiet. Always used +20 Mic Gain on other boards but on these new refresh boards it's entirely broken. Cannot use older legacy SS3 drivers because the IDs are not included for refresh boards.

TLDR Realtek audio control panel the mic gain setting slider does nothing..

What driver are you using?

The latest on Mokichu's thread. There's only one available AFAIK for Encore anyways.

Use the validated driver on the support page, RD recommended not to use the Realtek driver. (HQ is closed till Monday so that's as much as I know as of this time). May or may not pertain to that issue but should use due diligence in checking either way

Hi @Agent-A01

Did you get time to try the driver from the support page?

Still no success with GSkill 8400 48G kit. Flashed from 0601 to 0506 today with no change. Bumped the VDD/VDDQ modestly to 1.44-1.48V with no change. Tried tuning SAV and MCC as well. No change. Older GSkill 8000 kit 32G no problem. Scone not having issues with his. Wonder if I just got a weak IMC on this chip 14900k and Encore board. Some at OCN question issues with the 48G kits? Still picking at it. ???
