i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

Which is the correct bios to use. On first post it links to 805 for z790 extreme.
On another site they have version 810 for this board.

Website has 703 I believe last time I checked.

With the latest official BIOS 0703 I cannot get F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RK stable with their XMP profile. Â*Currently running F5-6000J4040F16GX2-TZ5RK with XMP profile and that is rock solid.

Will be flashing to beta bios 0806 tonight to see if this works better with 7200MT/s RAM.
Is 0806 the latest Beta BIOS? Â*

For the z790 apex is the 0005 bios newer than the official 0812 bios that was posted on ASUS' site on 1/18? Also wondering if anyone has tested that 0098 bios that's been floating around.

The BIOS 007x/008x/009x/0008/0018 Test need Intel ME Firmware v16.1.25.2091 or more recent.
The BIOS 09xx RC need Intel ME Firmware v16.1.25.2091 or more recent.
The BIOS 08xx need Intel ME Firmware v16.1.25.2020 or more recent.

But right clicking on "Check" or "install" only gives me Error 20 cannot locate ME Device

You must install your Intel MEI Drivers first.
