i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

OS Stability and memory training are two separate entities. If the system cannot pass POST stress tests then the settings are still too conditional.

The easiest way to think about this is if the system did boot after partially passing training, it would be unstable. If you want to learn more about memory training rather than pointing fingers based on no basis whatsoever, try reading application notes from the various companies that produce equipment to monitor or measure eye diagrams for timing signals.

@Shamino thanks for this new beta BIOS for Z690 Hero. Finally have 7200 CL34 A-Die TeamGroups stable on the board with default "XMP Tweaked" and auto everything. Excellent work.

For me 2203 was very bad windows was crashing continuously. Not even into windows login.
Also in bios it was showing chinese sometimes after booting into bios.
I tried to roll back to 2201 but I wasn't able to but was able to rollback to 2103.

Z690 Extreme also clearing bios didn't work

Interesting, I've had 0 issues so far. Stable BIOS for me. I'll be sticking with this for awhile.

Hi everyone !

I'm running a 13900kf, ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING and a GSKILL 7600 cl36 kit.
All bios I have tried so far are quite unreliable. I have first changed System Agent voltage to 1.15v as some suggested. It helped a little but could not get any 7600 XMP setting stable. Then, I tried 7400 cl34 45 45 115 at stock voltage (SAV still at 1,15) and passed a 7 hour RAMtest test. I rebooted and tried a second test with the exact same settings to confirm the first result : it failed within 5 minutes at 300%...
I have tried a lot of different settings for a whole week in order to get a stable "overclock" and coherent results but I could not.

For now, I am testing 7200 cl34 and it seems more stable. It never fails within two hours of testing. Decreasing system agent voltage to 1.135v seems to help even more in my case. I'm going to try 1.12v to see if it improves further.
On another note, I updated INTEL ME firmware and MEI drivers to the latest but it did not help at all with stability.
So far, bios 803 seems to be the most stable and efficient one (I tried 703 and 804).

Anyway, thank you all for your help, I am really looking forward to downloading next BIOS versions as I would like to run my kit at rated speed and be 100% stable.

Hello Silent Scone@ROG,

Thanks for the test bios and all the effort you do. The ability to calculate and recalculate the MC SP for the z790 maximus boards was helpful.

I was wondering if it is possible to add the ability to recalculate the overall SP(and P/E cores). I believe you can do that if you update the bios and take the chip out and put it back in.

For example, if I change my cooling solution to a full loop but don't take the chip in and out again, then it does not recalculate the SP, even with a whole different setup.

Or would this situation not matter at all and it is fused to the die?
