i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

But why the new 2203 bios set the ring at 5GHz by default?

Is 5GHs achievable by all CPUs?

Previous bioses set that ring at 4.6GHz max.

Hi,

Is this the default speed or is it overclocked?

Any XMP profile is categorised as overclocking

For the PRIME Z790-A WiFi, ASUS released an official 0806 BIOS, which I presume is newer than the 0802 posted here.
Just saying, perhaps the same will be released soon for the other Z790 boards.

96582keep crashing on Z690 STRIX D4 / 13700K system. (bios 2203) . is this the issue of CPU voltage? then, some game titles an error like cannot detect Graphic devices. especially, BF2042 says, DirectX Funcition error occured like.. When the voltage is insufficient, a blue screen appears, but in this case, the game does not work because it sends an error to the graphics card.

Hey!

It was pulled, 0803 is the only one available.
Coming from someone who was using 0804 on my z790 Hero, I understand why it was pulled.

Use 0803 or wait for the next release 😉

804 is here https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-asus-strix-maximus-z790-owners-thread.1800191/post-290785...

latest 2203 BIOS seems to push harder the ring clock at default settings.

96593

with previous BIOS never seen values higher than 4600MHz, now 5GHz seems the new normal.

is this a "new bug"?
