i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

Thanks for this new 702 Test BIOS @Shamino. XMP works out of the box now without any errors in RAM tests.

But there seems to be a bug with "thermal throttling". I'm completely on default settings for now (13900K + Z790 Hero) and when I run Cinebench for example, HWInfo shows "thermal throttling" for P-Cores, clock also goes down to 5,2GHz.

I'm running a custom water loop with external radiator, cores seem to throttle "early" when going above 80°C.

I also second this, the P-Cores like to start "thermal throttling" at 90 degrees celsius when running stress tests like Cinebench R23.

This was tested with the multi-core enhancement options enabled (this includes the new one with 90 deg at the end)

On that last part, would that effort to still stabilize the high freq ram result in the QVL'd gskill 7600 xmp being reached in the future?

7600MT is the second-highest officially validated ratio for the Extreme, so it's possible. The signal tolerance at these speeds can be tight.

Still having code 55 with*F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK on an Asus MZ790E even with 0702. Using the Samsung GSkill 6000 there is no problem. Posts without issue. Tried updating the FW on the board to 16.1.25.2020 (MoKiChU thread*https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?126385-FIRMWARE-Intel-ME-(H610-B660-H670-Z690-B760-H770-Z7...) from the default 16.1.25.1865. Still no change. Stops at memory detect 55. Cleared CMOS and reinstalled the GSkill 6000 kit and booted with no problems.
