i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790
NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)
1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....
2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip
3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice
Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust this setting too much, but I also stay at 2503 for now, maybe ever.
You assume this setting is working correctly, which we have no proof it does.
https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/1ekxxui/core_voltage_after_setting_ia_vr_limit_in_bios/
Also I'm not sure if you're not limiting IA VR too much. Do we know it should be equal to max Vcore?
From my personal experience IccMax is / was bugged, with intel recommended limit for my 13600kf around 200A, I see instant throttling using such value when running at 100% load, teh clocks drop to as low as 4.7 GHz.
Yet HwInfo64 shows that CPU never exceeded 120-130A and averaging at 100-110A. It seems like this option is bugged.
My take on this is that they should have separate IccMax setting for P-cores and E-cores, but they combined IccMax it for all cores, therefore you need to multiple it by 2 in the BIOS to set proper limit. Trash design and codding.

Appears Cpu microcode 35 in bios and cpuz?
I am tracking this also on my pc with 12th since settings are present but since is for 13th and 14th i did work on non k model 13th and still appear that number. regarding on the other is intel side, just in case. i will check another pc during the weekend. just to follow it. The other can also be is windows. and how it use it and how apps manage it. let see is a interesting topic.

Anything in beta is often identical to the validated build, and like the previous MC patches before it, the support sites will be updated when it's ready

Ok, so they are still working on it if I understand correctly.
Thanks for the info.

played with my pc again lol... after 0816 2503 was first one very well, just same need undervolt on the cpu. 2703 for my memory just horrible. so, if you can found the difference there probably will solvation to the perfect way road. back to the 2503... but for now i have a big doubt i used same undervolt, because now it works under load at 1.19v i never saw that voltage in my life in any cpu. include this one. i had before ~1.270 could jump to 1.3 or fall to 1.24 but this number looks insanity
10-18-2024 10:05 PM
btw... 2503 doesn't works with intel default. only assus overclock with undervolt, so i used this one without undervolt in 2703 because it's not set crazy 1.386 volts on cpu. 2703 both intel and assus profile set ~1.270
2703 won't works with xmp1. but works with auto. 2503 works with xmp1. and probably because of updated microcod it now working at one folking point 2 volts. at this voltage i couldn't even start pc before... may be pc could, but not windows.

Version 2703... Which board are you using? But apart from that, can anyone from Asus comment on this eternal BIOS state?! It can't be that the BIOS version has been in beta state since September 27th? Is Z790 completely uninteresting now that Arrow Lake is out?
10-19-2024 02:18 AM
790 hero with in 13900k, but problem start only with xmp... there two kits, so not many of bioses working with xmp.

It's nothing unusual for BETA BIOS to be in testing for 3 weeks.
Asus testing cycle could take as much as 2 or 3 weeks.
Sure z890 and Arrow Lake have higher priority now, as much as AMD's new platform, but previous gen intel CPUs could get physically damaged sue to incorrect voltage provided, Asus is not gonna abandon their customers with z790 boards. But sine new platform rolled out we may expect slower or ending support for z790.
