i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790
NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)
1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....
2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip
3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice
Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

The problem is not only the voltage under load. The running theory is that high idle or low-load voltage is applied to the ring and that is what causes its degradation. I.e. the ring is not able to tolerate voltages much higher than 1.5 V, idle or not. This is why Intel is placing the limit of 1.55 V max on VIDs.
1.4 V max at idle is probably fine and nothing to worry about.

Pay attention to the vcore sensor here. This is the reading for the differential sensing pins for the most accurate reading. Strix and Maximus boards all have die-sense capability on Z790.

There should be a newer bios coming soon this very week...

Well, I'm curious to see if anything will actually come of it.
PS:
I would be surprised if another UEFI update came 2 weeks after the release of the 2503. So far, nothing newer has been seen.

Got a question to see if anyone has seen this or might know a fix..
Updated my bios to 1503 on my encore, ever since im getting bsod with ntoskrnl.exe that is crashing it, while playing delta force. game was perfect before this. So i rolled back the bios and even put a fresh install of windows and using the very latest drivers from the asus forums. But still getting the bsod while playing that game. Any idea whats going on or any fixes. Other games seem fine. Just not sure why DF is crashing the pc non stop. Iv tried everything i know. Should i retry the 1503 bios again? See if it might fix itself or did the 0x129 microcode break something in that game?

Hi @Taint3dBulge , what was your previously working and stable BIOS version? When you rollback the BIOS, the MC also gets rolled back. You can very easily check your Microcode in HWiNFO Summary screen where MCU value will tell you the Microcode on your CPU.

Iv been using the beta 9905 for pretty much the life of my 14900ks, the whole system was tuned perfectly. Decided to update because i didnt want degradation even though i never had spikes over 1.45v the way i had it tuned.
Anyways, went to 1503, voltages are now higher then they were before even using the same settings i had before. so rolled back to the 1002, then to 1102. But getting those blue screens but not as bad. Now i went back to 1503 again just to try some other things. Went to intel defaults both performance and extreme. The voltages now seem to be a bit better leaving everything on auto. But i get the blue screen alot again in that game. Where i never had that problem before. BF and pubg are both fine though. no problems. So its gotta be something with the game. Maybe there was an update i didnt see happen, i dont know.. As far as the 129 microcode, i ment to say the "ME" version is changed and that might be affecting it?

Thought Id post back, went back to 1503 bios, and found that having TVB enabled was causing the problem. Turning it off and everything is fine. I do have enhanced tvb and oc tvb enabled. Tho im wondering if they even do anything since i have all the cores locked at 59x?
