i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V2229320_20220809B....

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/MEUpdateTool_16.1.25.1885_T.zip

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

beta test 9909 on apex encore.

its great you get to choose intel limits or asus limits right off the bat. however putting llc 5 for auto seems extremely high. especially for 253w limit (13900k)

update ! on 9909  !

i was on 9905 + the 11f fast microcode and
( was 8600 c36 - 1.15 sa stable on vst  for  2 hrs , tm5 absolute 12 hrs , karhu 24 hrs stable error free  ( have videos and pictures ) this is my 24/7 profile

 on apex encore + 14900 ks  delided artic  lf3 420 push pull + 48gb team group extreme 8200 c38 kit  = ( delided  regular ice man heat syncs stock pads )  + 2 x 92mm noctuaram fans  @ 1200 rpm

8800 c40 / c38 /c36  wouldfail evrything 20 mins or lesss  doesnt matter what  voltages tried on like 12 bioses

sa- 1.10 - 1.38v
ivr tx - 1.20 - 1.60v
vdd - 1.60 - 1.70 ( didnt try less )
vddq 1.60 - 170
imc mem - 1.30 - 1.50

8800 loose always error  !

until yesterday ! i flashed 9909 beta  i did  8800 c40 ( started loose first tighten later )  40-51-51-51-84
1.55 vdd / 1.55 vddq / 1.26 sa / 1.35 tx / 1.50 mc  - went 4 + hrs in tm5 absolute no error 37c lower vdd was the key  !

now im doing 8800 same exact settings but c38  same voltages 1.55 vdd = 30 min error well duhh.. just wanted to make sure  , went to 1.56 vdd 8800 c38  -  1.5 hrs error , 1.57 vdd 8800 c38 now its 3+ hrs still going

before the ice man regular heat syncs and 9905 beta 8800 would always fail 20 mins error no matter what i did  i woudl spend hrs on 8800 each bios !

now its actualy working still a wip but  hey def persuing it !

8600 c36 profile ( 47.9 ns clean boot ) still works with 1.15 sa and 1.60 vdd passes vst 2 hrs , 24 hrs of karhu and tm5 absolute on 9909 !

The BIOS switch is located at the base of the board. Press it once with the AC connected. The LED located nearby will tell you which one is selected.

Intel had official statement update regarding Raptor Lake CPU crash:
https://www.igorslab.de/en/intels-official-notes-on-intels-core-13th-and-14th-gen-kkfks-instability-...
When to expect new BIOS with new microcode 0x125 which fixes eTVB bug?

This is a super recent development, you have to at least expect some validation time.

Yea, and I hope we have the option to select a prior microcode if desired as well with any new bios. Similar to what's available now with 9909 for the Encore.

And what about new ME? For an example MSI had updated their BIOSes with 16.1.30.2361. Will ASUS update their BIOSes to latest ME firmware as well? @Shamino @SAFEDISK
