i will use this as a collection of test bioses/tools/info targeted towards Raptorlake + z69/790

NOTE for Z690: You must update ME on your Z690 to properly support raptorlake (if you are on dual bioses then you need to do this to both bioses)

1) d/l and install ME driver

2) update ME with ME Update Tool (I know there are newer versions but its not up on Asus official site yet so >= this version is fine)

3) update to Latest BIOS of your choice

Note 2 for Z690: i have some Z690s that are already LOW in battery so you are advised to use a new Battery during this upgrade.

I'm aware I can do it via armory crate, however i do not want to install bloatware or any unecessary software when competitors can do it straight from BIOS.

I dont think they ever will sadly... even thou it wouldn't be difficult.

Its either laziness/incompetence or marketing and I think its marketing

Armoury Crate locks you into their eco-system and they also push their own store there the fact that the even the settings you set in the armoury crate dont save into eeprom or any kind of memory so you get the puke everytime one turns the PC on.

I think it's a bug or a problem with my configuration, since I flashed the BIOS 9903 and then the 2102 I find that I can't configure the RAM with either of the following two settings bclk frequency : DRAM frequency ratio and Memory controller : DRAM frequency ratio, both options stop the q-code at 23

Having similar issues with 9903 and memory instability. I think it’s just my OC settings but not sure.

1. need ln2 mode enabled and mode2 if use gear 4 dont use mode 2 (dont use ambient temp OC, only use to LN2 OC)
2. can switch 11F ucode in bios
