Is it worth it to up grade to a Asus DDR5 mobo with DDR5 ram???
I have the Strix Z690 A Gaming wifi mobo with 32 gigs of ram and a 12700k cpu, system is perfectly fine no issues at.

Just wondering if it is worth it to up grade now or wait till 2023???

Thank in advance.

You already own a good system as of now. In my opinion DDR5 technologies in term of performances surpass in benchmark over DDR4. Having said that, the only reason I concerned right now was the stabilities of DDR5 ram. Most user here encounter ram compatibilities. XMP not really stable the main reason. I believed all sort of problems will be solved not only Asus but the rest of manufacturer. In future DDR5 will dominate or even DDR6. But till then, I will keep status quo till all been improved, That my opinion. Sorry guys if I offended you,

Your upgrade from ddr4 to ddr5 is negligible at best. Even at the fastest speeds 6400/6600 its a mere 8% increase in frames per/gameplay, if that's your intent. I would honestly wait IMO. Literally the only application that benefited in benchmarks was 7zip/zip programs.

Hi,

If anything, I'd wait for the next platform.
