Q-Code d6 on Z690 Hero

I finally finished my new hard line water cooled build. I started it up for it`s first post, but got a Q-Code of d7. I connected an older keyboard and then the Q-Code changed to d6. Nothing is showing on the monitor. I checked all the power supply connections on PSU and mother board. They all look good.
Anyone know what could be wrong?

New PC specs:
Z690 Hero motherboard
i9 12900K
2 x DDR5 32GB 5600MHz
1200W PSU

Update: I knocked the USB 3.2 header cable loose somehow and I do not think the GPU PCIe cable was fully seated in the slot. The PC will now post, but I still get the d7 Q-Code though. I think it is because I have no keyboard and mouse connected. Am I right?

Update 2: I filled the loop with coolant and connected everything back, connected a keyboard, and now it back to the Q-Code d6. It does not post either. I don`t know what the heck is wrong with it now.

Something of a longshot I admit, but have you connected your monitor to the HDMI backplate connector or the GPU card output? Whichever you have used, try the other one and see if you can at least get a video output. Easier to troubleshoot from there.
Z690 Hero, BIOS 3401, MEI 2345.5.3.0, ME Firmware 16.1.30.2361, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, i9 12900K, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 23H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

You said that your PCIe (extender cable I assume) and the USB 3.2 plug were not seated correctly. Have you worked your way around every connector, both internal and external? It's possible that something else could be an issue i.e. something else has also worked loose. Those 24 pin motherboard power connectors for example can often be seated incorrectly. If it needs a lot of force, get some support under your motherboard first. Look carefully around the edge of that connector and if there are gaps between the plug and socket, that could be the issue.

and yes, good idea to connect your mouse and keyboard too! I'm not sure why you would have left them disconnected?

JohnAb,
I connected an HDMI cable from a monitor to the GPU HDMI port. It posts every time now. With the DP cable, I tried all the DP ports on my GPU and it will not post. Could this be a DP cable issue? It`s weird. The PC posted when I first started it, and then it did`nt post. It was random. I thought something was not seated right.
To answer your other question on why I did not connect a keyboard/mouse, I was just verifying that the PC would post before I fill the loop with coolant.

Also, Q-Code d6 is gone too.

Aha, good news, at least you have a picture. I'd get all of your drivers installed and then you can do some more troubleshooting for the Display ports. A faulty cable is possible.

I fairly sure that you should get a DP output even without drivers installed, but get your video card drivers installed anyway and then see how it goes. Also, if the drivers don't fix the issue, have a look in BIOS under Advanced. You will find settings for your primary display settings. Here you can try selecting PCIe or CPU graphics (or both). If still no luck, borrow another DP cable and try that.

You're making progress at least, so that's good.

There’s probably a 6 pin power connection that’s necessary as well.
