ProArt Z790-Creator WIFI is not booting with G.Skill Trident Z5 Memory KIT under XMP I / II

Hi,

Despite beeing on the QVL list of ASUS and G.Skill the moterboard does not boot with the below memory kit under XMP I or XMP II.

The DRAM Light is always on (yellow).  Once I clear the XMP profile the system boots normally.

Any thoughts or remarks?

Thx, grudi

Memory Kit: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB, 2 x 16GB, 7200 MHz, DDR5-RAM, F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RK

I was able to fix the problem by installing the two memory modules on different memory slots (A2/B2 instead of A1/B1).

I just had this problem with my z790 rog-e ... i updated to the latest bios and it wont booth up with 2 sticks not even on xmp or without it ... i had to revert to the bios update before the latest for it to work .... don't know what bios you have but that was my case

I started with the Factory BIOS that came with the MB. It didn't work. So I did update the BIOS to the latest version without success. It only boots with the default Memory settings. XMP I or II is not working. I really don't get this. Based on the QVL list this Memory kit should be supported and this is the reason that I bought the Kit.
