Tried to install Win 11 on a new build. It did not find any usable LAN driver to continue the install . ASUS sent me instructions to return the motherboard to fix. I found this page: https://rog.asus.com/support/faq/10488887/ which seemed to address the problem. I went to the ASUS support site and downloaded the LAN driver: Realtek LAN Driver V1125.21.903.2024 for Windows 11 64-bit and extracted it to a USB stick. The problem is that it does not find the driver to install on any of the directories on the USB .

Hi @scjconsulting did you enable ASUS Armoury Crate Install in the Boot Menu of your BIOS? When this option is enabled (provided it is available for your board like it is available for my board), and you have enabled UEFI mode with Windows as the OS, ASUS UEFI will inject the LAN drive during the Windows installation. This LAN Driver is older as it supports both Windows 10 and 11 but at least you have connectivity and will not face issues with Windows installation if you are looking for a quick plug n play install.
I personally like to take full control over what is being installed and hence do a air gap install (no internet) and also no Armoury Crate use so that I can choose what driver I am installing to have full control.
If you would like to also control what is being installed, I did a full Windows installation video recording of Windows 23H2 starting from downloading Windows Media as well as all the drivers first before disconnecting internet and then doing the clean installation which can be seen in my post https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-motherboards/can-asus-support-fix-realtek-audio-drivers-with-bo...
I hope this information helps you proceed further.

There have been other posts on this issue, basically you need to point the Windows installer to the LAN drivers folder on the USB. I haven't time to remind myself fully about the best drivers to use or exactly how the sequence works, but it can be done. I've always used wi-fi which should be activated by the default drivers on the Windows installation media. Do you have wi-fi access, or only LAN? The link you provided isn't working for me right now, so not sure if that guidance is right for you. Keep looking and I think you'll find the answer.

Thanks. This is the corrected link: https://rog.asus.com/support/faq/1048887/
The wi-fi is not working either

Yes, that link is working thanks and that's the one you want. I don't know why it's not working. Odd. Have you tried a live Linux USB boot with something like Slax or Ubuntu? At least that might tell you if the problem is the Windows install image or maybe a hardware problem. You should be getting Wi-Fi enabled with nearly all live images in my experience 😯

Nice idea to try, but I have just sent the board the ASUS. They did not offer this as solution when I talked to them by phone.
Thanks.

Good luck with your RMA or replacement. In case you run into similar issues in future with these ASUS boards, you can give it a try.
