Prime Z790-P WiFi problem

Hello,

I just purchased new set of parts, in particular:

Asus Prime Z790-P WiFi
Intel i5-13400F CPU (+ TUF Gaming LC 120 ARGB Liquid Cooler)
Corsair CMK32GX5M2B5600C36, 16GB*2, DDR5 memory

After assembling Motherboard, CPU (+cooler) and RAM, I turned the power on but nothing had happen. The screen is blank and it even can't make it to the BIOS. The only thing I can see - rapidly blinking power led.

Following ASUS FAQ, I checked memory placement - initially placed DIMMs into A2 and B2 as recommended. However, trying to place only one DIMM (tried in all slots) or another DIMM, nothing helped. The result is the same - rapidly flashing power led.

I am building my own PC systems for last 30 years, this is first time I encounter such an issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Odd - you do have the 24 pin and CPU power cables plugged in?

Z690 Hero, BIOS 2703, MEI 2316.5.0.0, ME Firmware 16.1.30.2264, 7000X Case, RM1000x PSU, i9 12900K, ASUS TUF OC 3090TI, 2 x 16GB Corsair RAM @ 5200MHz, Windows 11 Pro 22H2, Corsair H150i Elite AIO, 4x Corsair RGB fans, 3x M.2 NVME drives, 2x SATA SSDs, 2x SATA HDs.

What graphics card did you have installed at that time?

Only the embedded, the one on the motherboard.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the i5-13400F doesn't have an integrated graphics.

What I really meant was make sure they are fully seated. The 24 pin connectors can be really hard to push in fully sometimes. I'm sure you know that anyway, but worth checking. Also the PSU plugs if modular, If none of that works, try different cables and PSU connections. Otherwise, I'd be suspecting a faulty PSU at this stage.

Yes, actually I disassembled and re-assembled everything twice, just to make sure all contacts fit properly... Very odd indeed...

By the way i have the same situation, so if anyone have a solution that problem text me please

Solved.
That was a problem with too old version of BIOS at motherboard for my Intel i7 13700KF, so i just installed older chipset and update a BIOS, after that all is working out)

This is strange - the ASUS website states that this board model is fully compatible with the 13th generation on all BIOS versions. And if you didn't have an old CPU, what would you do?
