Hello I've just built my new pc and installed the bios on the back of the motherboard but for some reason the pc won't post, it turns on fine but there is a qcode 12 dram error. I tried to CMOS reset it from the back as well as removing the battery but no luck
Removed one stick of ram and no luck to post
Removed graphics card and removed all components including CPU and reseated them but no luck.
Tried to reflash the bios again but no luck.
Checked to see if the ram supports the motherboard on the Asus website and crossed checked the serial numbers and they match.
Tried about everything so I'm not sure what's happening and was wondering for some advice

Code 12 relates to the CPU. Try turning off the PSU for a few minutes and if that doesn't work, remove the CPU and and while it's removed, check carefully for damaged pins, dirt, hairs etc. Re-apply thermal paste and do not overtighten. Make sure the screws are all at the same tightness. Snug is fine. Hopefully that will fix it. Also check that all power plugs are fully pushed in, and if not support the motherboard from below if you need a lot of force. Sometimes those plugs are not easy to insert fully. Also check the plugs at the PSU as well.
