Hello,
I have the Z690 and upgraded from 2 x 16GB (5600Mhz) to 2 x 32GB (6000mhz). I don't have XMP enabled (auto).
But with the new memory, it takes a LONG time to boot, minutes even. It looks like there is some memory activity going on. Eventually I get in and I see my memory (all 64GB), no errors in the device manager.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and how I can remedy it.

No need. Under the tools menu you're able to save and load profiles. If you've since changed your memory configuration without changing any parameters this would likely explain the behaviour you're seeing.
See FAQ https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1046388/

I have 2 profiles saved there currently, the old 32GB settings, no XMP settings and the old 32GB with XMP settings. The are 8 places to save them and I have used 2 for these.
Just to have it clear, do you want me to:
- save current settings, clear CMOS, Load current settings?
- clear CMOS, load old settings?

I think I solved it!!
I read in an article about removing and reinserting your Memory. Since it was such a low impact thing I tried it first. And now for 4 startups, it has been normal again!!!
Thanks for you help!

No worries. Must have been poor contact, glad it's resolved.

Booting ok, next issue, just got a BSOD, Memory management.
0000000000041790, A page table page has been corrupted. On a 64 bit OS, parameter 2
contains the address of the PFN for the corrupted page table page.
On a 32 bit OS, parameter 2 contains a pointer to the number of used
PTEs, and parameter 3 contains the number of used PTEs.
updating your ram is hard... any suggestions for this?

The system is still unstable. Run Memtest86 from within the UEFI at optimised defaults as suggested in my previous post and report back.

Hi,
Update: I am still having issues, besided the BSOD. My fav. game crashes 5 times in 10 minutes. Windows Memory diagnostic says immediately that there is a hardware issue before doing the diagnostic (that finds nothing) and tells me to back to the vendor.
I am fed up so I put in my old 2 x 16GB - 5600Mhz and it works flawless.
I will do 1 more try with 2 x 32GB -5600Mhz. This product IS in the list of compatible memory, CMT64GX5M2X5600C40(Ver5.43.13).
So much time wasted, first on the effort of 4 x 16GB, then these. I hope the next 2 are plug and play.... (no I pray for it actually)

HI,
I am really extremely hesitant to use clear cmos, I am in my BIOS now wanting to take photographs of the settings, but there are like 2-300 things you can open and require a picture. I have no clue what is standard and not and what I should configure.
