PD Update Tool prints useless messages

The ASUS_PD_update_tool_V004.exe for ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming Wifi prints the following debug-like messages twice:

CheckPD= 0
FwVer Style= 0,0=DEC,1=HEX
ReDriver Set= 0
RWRBclock Set= 1
I2C Bus Set= 0
WRB get
Dummy Byte= ff
Check Fw version

It stops then without any message indicating error or success.

The above occurred because the "Intel Serial IO Driver" was still missing. If the driver is present, the output indicates success:

...
Start Erase All!
Erase All OK!
Programming:|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Verify :|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Programming signature!!
Start Reset!
Complete!!
Used Time= 4.700000 s
CheckPD= 0
FwVer Style= 0,0=DEC,1=HEX
ReDriver Set= 0
RWRBclock Set= 1
I2C Bus Set= 0
WRB get
Dummy Byte= ff
Check Fw version
Fw version=0004
