I recently bent the pins changing a CPU in my old motherboard which was an NZXT Z790 board, up until I broke it, it was FLAWLESS. So I thought, why don't I go for an Asus board, they are reliable, will be great.
And here I am. This board is a nightmare and I don't understand why. I've lifted the SAME components across to this board that worked without issue on my old NZXT board. These are the issues I am having:
- PC Won't restart, it just hangs then blue screens
- PC Won't shut down, hangs and then blue screens
- System hangs (random)
- Long boot times (unexplained)
This is what I've tried so far:
- Clean install of Windows 11 (4 times now)
- Reseat of DIMMS
- Reseat of CPU
- Disabled XMP
- Reset Bios to defaults
These are my specs:
- Intel Core i9 14900KF
- ROG Maximus Hero z790
- Corsair 32GB 5600MHz DDR5 RAM
- WD nVME 2TB
- Samsung nVME TB
- Kraken 360 AIO
- RTX 4090
Are there issues with 14th Gen Intel CPU's on this board? What am I missing here? I'm half way to assuming it's a faulty board because I just cannot figure why I have so many issues, when I had non on my previous board. Please help!

Hello Offline09
Try updating to the latest motherboard bios (2801). If you need help updating the bios, just say so.
