With this BIOS games are now crashing for me. COD and BF2042 will crash to a black screen and the computer does not respond to anything anymore. I did not upgrade from an older BIOS I upgraded from the most recent BIOS. I have a 13900k is anyone else having trouble?

Same on my side ! I have a Maximus Z790 EXTREME, i9 14900K and a RTX4090 MATRIX- screen freeze or game crash  now I changed to AI overclocking and as it looks it works much more stabile.... it's totally strange....but could be that a intel processor 13th/14th Gen. is defective or "signs of aging"- they had a lot of returns from this cpu especially in Asia before the full story started with downgrading and intel default setting etc.

Hello,

Are you having any issues with the BIOS?

no problem with bios

How many sticks of Ram are you using, I've been using 4 sticks since I bought the Z790-e without problems but wondering if the new BIOS doesn't like 4 sticks.

Hello, just thought I'd post my success with this version of the BIOS, before I couldn't get either of my systems stable without some questionable undervolted settings.  I've been running all day without a crash, so that's an improvement.  Now I just use F5 defaults in BIOS.

It's more stable for me than the previous BIOS, i9 13900KS and i714700K at least.  I'm no expert, but voltages and temps look good.

using the factory intel profile, it causes my cpu to use excessive power and it throttles at 99c,   I first noticed something was off when playing call of duty and my cpu temps was 95c, when it use to be 70c pre update.  Trying any kind of benchmark would instally bring the cpu up to 99c.  I switched to the asus profile with multicore enchanment, and  temps behave as they before the update,  there is something very wrong with this bios

Behaviour is as expected here. Snapshots are after running CR20 after clearing CMOS. No memory overclocking or other parameters changed besides switching between the three profiles.

If needing to demonstrate, I'd suggest you do the same.

Please note that the Extreme profile settings as suggested by Intel is a recommendation. Users should opt for the Performance Profile if they want to adhere to defaults.

where do I find the different intel profiles, my only options are intel default settings or asus advanced oc profile

Is this a 13900k, 14900k setting i have a 13700k
