Pretty basic and expected behaviour based on the criteria for Intel's Performance and Extreme Profiles.

Running the BIOS now with older CMO and no issues.

I am on 2102 and I dont know if there are any performance/stability improvements? I already manually set ICCMAX to 400A and 320W PL1/PL2 for my 13900ks as recommended by Intel extreme profile.

Yeah, that's fine. This just gives users the options to quickly switch between presets.

Just installed following the usual instructions and with my horror the PC did not boot, just a black screen. This is the first time it happens after a lot of bios upgrades with my ASUS Rog Strix Z790 E. After a good 15 minutes I have reset the PC and all went well.

Just installed and lot of problems with my games.....crashes, virus alerts etc. never had this before...try to get an overview what is working before and what not....with intel 14900K it's just a nightmare and I get more and more problems, crashes, instability's etc.- I am tired of that inteI bs...I have a secound system with a Crosshair X670E  Extreme and an AMD  Ryzen 9 79503D and this system is running just perfect, super stable and without any problems....

Don't have the same motherboard but the Z790 ProArt version, installed BIOS 2302, but computer is not stable on any profile unless I set the cores to 58, on auto the pc will BSOD as Windows loads. I honestly think my cpu has been damaged and I am having difficulty getting it replaced. The place I bought it from 6 months ago is not interested and Intel don't really give an answer other than I need to send them the cpu and it might take a month to get a replacement (if they can even replicate the instability). Idiotic to have spent so much on new hardware and then to have a no working machj9ine for potentially a month.

I just heard that there are weekly a lot of returns to intel especially in Asia 13th/14th gen. processors. If you check on reddit you will find reports about that intel started checking the instability of processors with all this kind of problems. That's the reason intel put preassure on the motherboard suppliers to reduce the performance as they won't take over the full responsability........!  I will send my processor back too because of such a lot of problems.

This BIOS just adds presets, so nothing much has changed...Did you upgrade from a fairly older BIOS with different ME Firmware? More likely to be memory instability if you weren't experiencing issues prior, sensationism aside.
