Hello,
I recently installed the latest BIOS version 2503 on my ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F. I set the default values on the ASUS motherboard to Extreme/Performance mode. After running some tests, the temperature immediately spiked to 100°C, and performance dropped significantly (14k points in CPU-Z and 30k in Cinebench R23).
I tried adjusting various settings to improve performance and reduce temperatures. However, I overlooked the core voltage, and ASUS set the LLC (Load-Line Calibration) to Level 4. At Level 4, the voltage reached 1.650V for 6GHz. By default, LLC is set to Level 7, resulting in a voltage around 1.4 - 1.450V.
Currently, my computer crashes as soon as Windows starts at 6GHz...
I have downgraded my BIOS to version 2402 and locked all my CPU cores at 5.6GHz. Turbo mode is disabled, and the voltage has been reduced.
While my system appears stable, I've lost performance, and my 13900KS is now performing like an i7.
The 13900KS has excessively high voltage and temperatures! It can operate with lower voltage and maintain proper temperatures (50-80°C).
Please, ASUS & Intel, stop producing such unreliable products!
I have downgraded my bios to 2402 version. Et locked all my CPU à 5.6Ghz :'(. Turbo mode disable and voltage reduce.
My system look stable, i losed performance, my 13900ks is equal at I7.
13900ks have very too much voltage and temps! they can work with more undervoltage with correct temp (50-80°).
Please ASUS & intel, stop make ****** !

Hello, i am not very tech savvy but i do know that the Intel default setting have never worked for me, the cpu gets to much Vcore and to many Watts , reaches 100c and throttles. So i stick with the Asus settings.
