New BIOS 1801 for Z790 Dark Hero Won't Boot

Hi,

I have been using BIOS 1704 without issues and tonight installed the new 1801 BIOS.  The only setting I changed after loading defaults (F5) was the memory to XMP.  This was the same setting as in BIOS 1704.  The new BIOS seemed to install fine but Windows 11 would not load.   I got the blue screen.  I reinstalled 1704 and all is well.  Now I wonder if Intel Rapid Restore Technology was on by default in the 1801 BIOS.  I didn't check before going back to 1704.  Would this cause the blue screen or what else could it be?

Thanks very much, Kent

Update: I got brave over the weekend and with no one else having the same issue with their 1801 BIOS, I decided to try it again.  This time I started windows without any changes in the BIOS and just used the default settings.  Windows loaded fine.  Then I changed the memory to XMP and Windows loaded fine again.  I also made note that Intel Rapid Storage Technology was off.  I have restarted several times and all is well.
