New beta bios is out 9/27. Just FYI. Noted for my encore board. Have not checked other boards.

I've just look up that board to see new changes. Below is the changelog. I see Asus kept old ME firmware. Why is Asus not updating it's support pages with new firmware and drivers apart from BIOS? That does not feel premium support after paying premium price for premium Brand. *annoyed with this*
MSI BIOS UPDATE:
- Update CPU Microcode 0x12B
- ME Firmware ver: ME_16.1.32.2473 (download)
- ME Firmware update SOP
ASUS BIOS UPDATE:
1.Updated with Intel microcode 0x12B to address elevated voltage requests during idle or light activity, further mitigating Vmin Shift instability issues.
2.The option to disable C1E in the BIOS has been removed to ensure it remains enabled, reducing processor stress and maintaining stability per Intel's recommendation.
Updating this BIOS will simultaneously update the corresponding intel ME to version 16.1.30.2307.

Because Asus may not see the need, as currently known security holes have already been closed with v. 16.1.30.2307.
Can be checked with the CSME Version Detection Tool.

Asus builds bios around the ME version. they probably wanted to get a bios that contains the microcode as quick as possible. they will probably release another bios sometime after with the newest ME. wish they did update chipset drivers and such.

Yeah, AFAIK BIOS and ME Firmware communicate during PC boot. And BIOS might needs some changes to work correctly with newer ME firmware.
I wouldn't update ME firmware from other vendor, while it might work, it also might not or simply cause some problems with PC booting or system stability in general.
On other hand there are brave modders who tweak and test customized firmware and BIOSes, but you need to be aware of the risk you're taking.
And client motherboards have no means to flash back older or different ME firmware. Even Asus claims that BIOS rollback feature won't revert ME firmware.
As for drivers not being updated on support page, there is no good explanation for that, it is just lazy. Especially that they have unified drivers, and one driver package could apply to whole z690 and z790 motherboard series. So why no one updates it? 🤔 Oh right, maybe Stephen Burke from Gamer Nexus should ask that question? He might get an answer. 😀

Runs fine on STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI.
"Enhanced C-States" is greyed out now.

1602 seems to be running fine on my encore board as well. Just flashed today. Finally had some time after work to do it.
