Network speed low on ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO or am i missing something...

Hi all, got my build done. Earlier I had a connectivity upgrade to 10 GB, signed a new expensive ISP contract, changed all cables and network appliances to support 10 GB, as I often must download 50 GB files. I have other PCs they all show speeds up to GBs except for the ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO. I thought it was the built-in NIC and added Asus 10GB network card but no changes. On rare occasions, it might show up to 1.5 GB, but it falls back to under 0.5 GB fast.
Has anyone been able to fix this? Thanks.

Asuming everything is in working order on your local area network, you're now at the mercy of the ISP and beyond. My guess is the server hosting the content your're after doesn't support the bandwith being expected.

I do not understand your comment: the bandwidth is only reduced on the Hero, other PCs show extremely high speeds. Why would this have anything to do with ISP or hosting sources?

ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO has a 2.5GB inbuilt NIC but as others have said, you're at the mercy of the server you're connected to.

Again, several PCs are connected to the same router showing very high connections. Only the Hero shows low, much lower connection even if I added a 10Gb NIC.

Is this clear?

Crystal Clear....try re-installing your Network Drivers that came with your Network Card, also read your Hero manual and see what your Network speed limitations are.
Also go into bios and disable your onboard Network settings to see if onboard is conflicting with your expansion Card.
Have you updated your BIOS to latest?

Not knowing how your home network is set-up its the best many of us can do for you.

You can also go here, make an account and query the forum (in a polite manner if you expect people to try n help you out).
These guys are awesome in assisting with everything Network related.

So what is that telling you ?
I mean, somehow you insist on blaming the motherboard, yet the same issue occurs even with a discrete LAN card. Logic much ?
I would check the cable, the switch/router port, the OS install even. Those are much more probable causes for what you are describing than a motherboard having issues with ALL of the PCIe devices attached, oh, wait, no, ALL of the PCIe LAN devices attached.

Check your Link speed I am having an issue even since getting this Strix Z690 A Gaming board my link speed keeps dropping to 100 Mbs instead of 1gbs crippling my connection, I don't know what Intel or Asus is doing but it is doing it frequently, If I disable the Intel network adaptor in device manager and re enable back to 1gb's negotiation, I am using the latest drivers and it has been doing this since day 1 of getting this board and whatever Intel adaptor is embedded, How had this not been more widely reported? It's a pain in the ass, If it had already negotiated the 1gbs speed when you first connect why is it dropping after a while?

It's not the router or my setup it was perfectly fine on my Maximus Z390 Hero but this new Z690 board is forever dropping the link speed, And I know it's the adaptor or drivers because as I said once you disable it and re enable it boom back to 1gbs if it was any other hardware issue like the router or modem this would not work.

Asus is this link dropping speed being investigate? This particular adaptor after research online is notorious for issues looking around on Google.
