Hi,
I bought i9-14900KF, ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI new motherboard and G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 7800MHz CL36 Trident Z5 RGB Black F5-7800J3646H16GX2-TZ5RK 2x16 that's in total 32 GB RAM. I set the reset default settings (F5) and I select XMP1. Only i did XMP1 and fail F1. After, again reset default settings (F5) and i select XMP2 and fail. How can i use the 7800MHz on my ram in Z790-E motherboard? Could someone help me? I'm totally noob in OC and bios settings 🙂 Thanks in advice.

Hi @zoltan_siket the maximum speed your system will be able to support depends upon a lot of factors like the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) inside your CPU, the motherboard quality and the memory quality. When you buy a 7800MT/s kit that does not mean you will get this speed for sure due to all these other factors in the play.
Is your system stable using either XMP II or XMP I? If yes, what is the maximum speed you are getting? If you are getting closer to 7200MT/s or 7400 MT/s then everything is working as it should. Getting the last few extra bits is going to be difficult and may make your system unstable. You may not even notice the different losing 200-600 MT/s.
