mouse stopped working in BIOS Setup

My mouse is a simple Logitech M525 that works everywhere except in BIOS setup. In setup i see the mouse arrow cursor but its frozen, the keyboard works fine. Both are wireless. I've tried different usb ports and it makes no difference. Is ther a setting somewhere that will enable my mouse? I am 90% sure it used to work i setup.  I suspect it stopped with an earlier bios version but i so rarely go to setup, I am just not sure when it stopped working in setup

did you try to use a USB hub?  That how i get around it.

I'll try using a hub. I cant see why that would work though

Make sure USB legacy mode is turned on. If that doesn't fix it, when I had the same issue with my Logitech mouse I updated the bios to the latest version and it started working again. IK it can be a pain, but navigating the bios with just a keyboard is more of a pain hah.

Well, i have tried resetting bios to defaults, ensuring legacy is enabled and also compatibility mode enabled, I've tried using the hub and plugged the mouse into every port. In short I have tried all the above posted suggestions.

My MB is 3th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KF ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO

Is it possible i have the wrong bios? Is anyone else having this issue? Am i the only one?
