I am getting memtest86 errors only when I install ram in dimm slot a1 A2/B1/B2 no errors And all ram sticks are fine I have tested all ram sticks with different slot and not giving errors. But when I install same ram stick in dimm A1 it gives error don't know what the
problem is

*I tried resetting the CPU and still getting errors but I noticed one thing 4800MHz XMP doesn't give error on A1 but 5000 and greater gives but this only applies to A1
A2/B1/B2 no probs with 5200MHz too

Processor - i9-12900K
MB - *Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 Extreme
RAM - Kingston Fury 5200 MHz kit

Please help

And yeah there's no dirt too*

Hello, can you confirm if the issue happen at optimised defaults (No XMP)?
9800X3D / 6400 CAS 28 / ROG X870 Crosshair / TUF RTX 4090

There's an update A1 slot does not set any xmp after loading xmp and saving changes pc keeps posting and ends up in safe mode bios
Again press F1 and freq gets set is 4000 not even 4800Mhz xmp loads on A1 slotÂ*

We need to know without any XMP. meaning setting your bios to default setting or optimised setting to check if there is any issue.

Okay I had disassembled the pc I will assemble and will check and tell you

Thanks

I had a similar error with my z690 Apex. Slot A1 would not pass XMP, no matter what I tried. B1 had no issues.
The replacement Apex board I received via RMA does not have this issue.

If all ram tested with other slot does not have any issue if all ram tested in slot 1 having issue. You need to seek for RMA.
