Memory Probleme on ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO

Hi all

I bought 32Gb of memory 2x16Gb  reference CMK32GX5M2B6400C32 from Corsair. That reference is in the QVL list. I can't boot and Q CODE error is 53 (memory init error,  invalid memory type or incompatible memory speed).

Does anybody can help me or do i contact asus support?

Hi @Silent_Scone 

I will reseat the CPU soon. But in the meantime how do you explain that with only one memory modue in slot A2 everything goes well. The system is working without any problem since june 2024 everyday 10h/day. I'm wandering wether the clear CMOS is really effective and that this piece of memory is really "blank" after appllying the clear CMOS function.

 Because DIMM detection can become erratic depending on pin-pad contact or mounting pressure. Best to evaluate this first.

from within the UEFI you can check what, if anything is detected. Ignore the fact the example slot is different, this is on the 2-slot Apex Encore.

I checked the cpu socket and found that two or more pins are bented. So I ask for RMA to asus for changing this socket. I sent the board last monday and i'm waiting for the repaired board. Thanks for your advice for reseating the cpu.
