I am on version 2202 bios and was able to find in bios the VMD setting setting, it was set to raid when I didn’t want raid setting. I now see it in Win11 but no letter, just hardware in with no letter. Need help

Go to Computer Management/Disk Management. From there, you can format the drive and set a drive letter.

Thank you! I found it, got it done. I never done one before, lol, my type is set to dynamic. It’s been a long time since I built a Windows base PC. Hope this helps someone not much out there as a walk thru. 🤙🏼

Good job, some of these things are not obvious if you've not seen them before. The Disk Management tool is quite basic, but it gets the job done. There are lots of software tools to create, move, resize and delete disk partitions but most people rarely need to use them, if ever.

There are lots of file systems available as well, but for Windows drives, NTFS would be the normal choice. It's often USB drives where other file systems can be handy. For example, if you format a USB thumb drive to use ExFAT, it can be used by both Windows and Mac OS. Sometimes handy for copying files between different systems.
